DO YOU KNOW THAT SATAN HATES ANYONE WHO CAN THINK FOR HIMSELF?

Matthew 7:13, Psalm 32:8, Proverbs 3:5–6, Exodus 23:2, Deuteronomy 10:12, John 8:31, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Leviticus 6:12-13, Daniel 6:10

Satan despises an independent mind because such a mind is determined to find out the truth from God. This is why the enemy works overtime to keep people distracted, confused, and dependent on the world instead of the Creator.

THREE BASIC CATEGORIES OF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD

Which one do you belong to?

1️⃣ THOSE THAT MAKE THINGS HAPPEN

  • They make a difference in their world.

  • They focus on reaching out to something higher, greater, new, and unique rather than comparing themselves to others.

  • They are doers, not just watchers. They walk with purpose and direction, guided by the Spirit of God.

  • Philippians 3:13–14“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”

2️⃣ THOSE THAT WATCH THINGS HAPPEN

  • They look to others for direction and often lack initiative.

  • They follow trends, mimic others, and only act because someone else acted first.

  • They fail to seek God’s unique plan for their own lives and are easily influenced by external circumstances.

  • Proverbs 4:25–27“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet.”

3️⃣ THOSE WHO WONDER WHAT HAPPENED

  • They live unnoticed, filled with regrets, confusion, and complaints.

  • They fail to take action, and as a result, they are left behind while others move forward.

  • Their lives are characterized by inaction, fear, and a lack of purpose.

  • Ecclesiastes 11:4“Whoever watches the wind will not plant; whoever looks at the clouds will not reap.”

LESSON

💡 As Christians, it is not what others say about you that matters most. What truly matters is what you believe about yourself and what God says about you. Psalm 139:14 reminds us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, with a unique purpose to fulfill.

FINAL WORDS

Be determined to belong to the first category—those who make things happen. Seek God’s wisdom, walk in His purpose, and live a life that glorifies Him.

PRAYER

“Lord Jesus, help me to think for myself and seek Your truth. Strengthen me to make a difference in my world as I fulfill the purpose You have for my life. Amen!”
