20 Things You Don’t Know About Synagoguians
20 Things You Don’t Know About Synagoguians
Here’s a lighthearted yet meaningful list about who Synagoguians (members of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations) are and what they stand for. Feel free to add your own in the comments!
1. Known by Love
We are known by our love, love that comes straight from the heart. John 13:35 says:
“By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
2. Value the Process Over the Result
We treasure and value the processing of God’s work in our lives more than just the result. We believe every step of the journey is significant.
3. Respond to Criticism with Prayer
We do not respond to criticisms or attacks because we follow Matthew 5:44:
“Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”
Instead of criticizing back, we pray for our adversaries to come to repentance.
4. Hold No Offense
We refuse to hold offense because we understand that in the eyes of God, both the offender and the offended are guilty unless forgiven.
5. Do Not Label People as Witches or Wizards
We don’t call anyone a witch or wizard. Why? Because we know our real enemy is Satan, not human beings. He hides behind people to perpetrate evil.
6. Avoid Copying Others
We don’t do things just because others are doing them, such as speaking in tongues. We believe that only the Holy Spirit can inspire the true heavenly language.
7. Value Meditation Prayer
We believe in meditation prayer as the best form of communion with God. Prayer is a two-way conversation:
We speak, God listens.
When God speaks, we listen.
8. Everyone Is Our Neighbor
We see everyone as our neighbor, even those who don’t share our faith. Luke 10:27 teaches us to love our neighbors as ourselves.
9. No Discrimination
We don’t discriminate based on religion or belief because we understand that conversion is the work of the Holy Spirit, not ours.
10. Love for Nature and Prayer Walks
We are known for prayer walks and meditation in quiet, natural spaces because we believe nature enhances spirituality.
11. Examine Everything in God’s Light
We believe in examining all things in the light of God’s Word, knowing that even in silence, God is still saying something.
12. Understanding Controversy
We know many think we are controversial, but we understand that God works through controversies to draw us closer to Him.
13. Trust God Regardless of Outcome
Whether God heals, blesses, or delivers us—or not—He is still our God. We trust Him in all circumstances.
14. Embrace Suffering with Faith
We believe that a Christian may be sick in body yet be a friend of God.
We believe that a man may be poor yet still be a candidate for Heaven.
15. Good Reporters
We strive to be good reporters by doing good and working to change the bad we see in society.
16. Testimonies Strengthen Faith
We love to listen to and share testimonies of God’s goodness because they encourage and enhance our faith in Him.
17. Use of Faith Tools
We are known for praying with faith bracelets, anointing stickers, and anointing water, which are points of contact to strengthen our faith.
18. Spiritual Beings in a Natural World
We understand that we are spirits living in a physical body, learning to navigate and live in the natural world.
19. Act as the Spirit Directs
We act according to the Holy Spirit’s direction, not according to man’s timetable.
20. Spirit-Inspired Sermons
When we preach, we do so from the heart, inspired by the Holy Spirit, not by human intellect or tradition.
Final Encouragement
“Better is not good enough; the best is yet to come!”
