SEVEN HABITS OF SPIRIT PRAYER INSPIRED BY PROPHET TB JOSHUA

1 Thessalonians 5:17, John 15:7, Isaiah 26:3, Romans 8:26, Mathew 6:6, Psalm 5:3

Prayer is not just an act—it’s a lifestyle. Every prayerful saint cultivates habits that make prayer an essential part of their day-to-day lives. These seven habits will inspire and help you develop a deeper relationship with God through prayer:

1️⃣ Begin Your Day on Your Knees

  • As soon as you wake up, before doing anything else, fall on your knees and give thanks to God.

  • Say, “Thank You, Lord. Thank You for everything.” What matters is not the length of your prayer but that it is heartfelt.

  • Psalm 5:3—“In the morning, O LORD, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.”

2️⃣ Stay Prayerful in Public

  • When in public—on a bus, airplane, or waiting in a queue—minimize idle chatter and keep your heart busy in silent prayer.

  • Being in an attitude of prayer will ensure you are always spiritually prepared for anything. If challenges arise, you can instantly call on Jesus.

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17—“Pray without ceasing.”

3️⃣ Pray in Private Without Noise

  • In private prayer, avoid shouting unnecessarily. Loud shouting is not required to reach God.

  • Shouting is understandable in group prayer, where it is done in unity. But in private prayer, focus on being quiet and still before God.

  • Matthew 6:6—“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen.”

4️⃣ Constantly Pray in Your Heart

  • Throughout the day, engage your heart in short prayers like:
“In the name of Jesus, in the blood of Jesus. Take more of me and give me more of You, Lord.”

  • Remember, you carry a spiritual altar in your heart everywhere you go. The physical altar is just a reminder to pray.

  • Romans 8:26—“The Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us.”Prayer

5️⃣ The Power of Persistent Prayer

  • The prayers being answered today are often the result of prayers you’ve been praying consistently in the past. So, keep praying, even when it seems like nothing is happening.

  • God’s timing is perfect. Trust that your prayers are being stored in heaven, ready to manifest in His time.

  • James 5:16—“The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”

6️⃣ Pray Silently in Your Heart While Doing Other Things

  • You can pray in your heart while having conversations or working. It doesn’t interfere because prayer flows from your spirit, not the same faculties you use to talk to others.

  • You don’t need to tell people, “Don’t disturb me; I’m praying.” You can pray without ceasing in any situation.

  • Isaiah 26:3—“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You!”

7️⃣ Pray Using the Scriptures

  • Prayer and Bible reading go hand in hand. The Word of God is the language of prayer. Use it to frame your prayers so that your words align with God’s will.

  • Without the Word, your prayers may simply fill the air with meaningless words.

  • John 15:7—“If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

FINAL WORDS

Prayer is not about how loud or long you speak—it’s about the state of your heart before God. When prayer becomes your lifestyle, it transforms your thoughts, words, and actions.

🙏 Lord Jesus, grant me the grace to stand firm in Your will, to trust Your guidance, and to embrace the unique purpose You have for me. Deliver me from the temptation to follow the majority, and help me to live a life that glorifies You. Amen
