Get On Your Knees Before The King: Part 2
🌿 Get On Your Knees Before the King: Concluding Part
“You don’t know how much you need God. You need Him to do all things — to sit, to walk, to breathe, to sleep, to wake and to kneel. We are like babies who always need their parents for everything.”
– TB Joshua
There is something powerful about getting on your knees before the King. it’s a declaration of dependence, an offering of reverence, and a posture of humility. When we kneel before Jesus Christ in prayer, we remind our souls that He is King, and we are His.
But how do we practically live this out in a distracted world? Here are five spiritual habits to help you prepare your heart as you kneel before the Lord in prayer.
🌿 Practice These Habits to Develop a Prayerful Heart
1. Start Every Day on Your Knees
Begin your morning not with a scroll, but with surrender. Simply kneel and say,
“Thank You, Lord.”
You don’t need elaborate words—just a humble heart.
> “In the morning, LORD, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait expectantly.” – Psalm 5:3
2. Create a Quiet Space
Jesus withdrew to quiet places to pray. You can too. Eliminate distractions. When you enter your prayer space, let it be just you and God—no phone, no noise, no social media.
“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.” – Matthew 6:6
3. Close Your Eyes to the World
Closing your eyes in prayer is not superstition—it is surrender. It is focus. You are humbling your eyes, turning away from the material world to engage the unseen Kingdom.
“We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:18
4. Meditate Until You Receive Clear Light
Before rushing into your requests, meditate on the goodness of God. Let your spirit be still and soak in His presence.
“My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on Your promises.” – Psalm 119:148
As your soul aligns with the Spirit, your heart will be ready to speak and listen.
5. Let the Spirit Pray Through You
When words run dry, don’t force it. Worship. Stay still. Let the Holy Spirit intercede through groanings too deep for words.
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness… the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” – Romans 8:26
This is where your prayer life deepens—not through eloquence but surrender.
💧 Why God Honors the Kneeling Heart
There are three spiritual truths tied to the posture of kneeling:
1️⃣ It Aligns the Flesh with the Spirit
When your knees touch the ground, pride is dethroned. Your body declares, “I am not in charge — God is.”
2️⃣ It Invites Divine Sensitivity
The more you humble your body, the more your spirit becomes alert. The noise of the flesh dies down, and the whispers of the Spirit become clear.
3️⃣ It Expresses Total Dependence
The child who kneels before the Father is never abandoned. God draws near to the humble (James 4:6) and resists the proud.
🕯️ Daniel’s Example — A Man Whose Knees Shaped Nations
Daniel’s power wasn’t in his political influence — it was in his posture.
Even when it was illegal to pray, he knelt. He didn’t compromise prayer for convenience. That act of humility attracted angelic intervention and divine favor.
“He understood the need for total humility before God.”
If you want God to lift you, first learn to bow low. The knees that touch the ground in prayer will stand firm in battle.
The Reward of Kneeling Christians
Kneeling may look small, but it shifts mountains in the spirit.
Every time you humble yourself before God, your strength is renewed, your vision clarified, and your spirit is sharpened.
The greatest victories in life are not won by those who stand tall, but by those who kneel low.
Finally People of God
Get on your knees, close your eyes, and pray. Not out of routine but out of reverence.
Let your posture mirror your heart.
Let your body become an altar and your heart the sacrifice.
For when you kneel before God, you rise above every storm.
Prayer
> Lord, teach me to humble myself before You.
Let my knees find strength in Your presence.
Empty me of pride, fear, and self-dependence.
Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may hear Your voice clearly.
Take more of me and give me more of You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
