Get On Your Knees Before The King: Part 1
🌿 Do You Kneel When You Pray Before Your Heavenly Father?
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
🙏 The Posture That Speaks Louder Than Words
In the world today, many stand before God with their lips moving, but their hearts still wandering. Kneeling quiets the body and humbles the soul. It silences the noise of the mind and centers your spirit on the only voice that matters—the voice of God.
When you get on your knees and close your eyes in private prayer, you are not performing a religious act; you are positioning your spirit for divine encounter. Your body bows so your heart can rise. Kneeling before God is the visible expression of total surrender, the language of humility that heaven understands.
— Proverbs 3:5–6
🌿 The Secret of the Knees
Throughout Scripture, men and women who walked closely with God understood the power of kneeling:
Daniel, though a high-ranking official, “got down on his knees three times a day to pray” (Daniel 6:10). His humility attracted heaven’s attention and kept him unshaken in the face of persecution.
Jesus Himself knelt in Gethsemane when the weight of the world was on His shoulders (Luke 22:41). The Son of God, though equal with the Father, chose to bow before Him.
Solomon, in dedicating the temple, “knelt down before the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven and prayed” (2 Chronicles 6:13).
Kneeling is saying, “Lord, take more of me and give me more of You”
🌿 The Mystery of Humility in Prayer
When you kneel, close your eyes, and turn your heart inward, you are quieting the noise of the world. You are saying, “Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.” That silence is where revelation flows.
Prophet T.B. Joshua always taught that:
“You don’t know how much you need God. You need Him to do all things—to sit, to walk, to breathe, to sleep, to wake. We are like babies who always need their parent for everything.”
This statement captures the essence of true humility. It is not weakness — it is awareness. Awareness that without Him, we are nothing.
When you meditate on the Word of God and turn it over and over in your heart, you are humbling yourself before His Lordship. You allow the Holy Spirit to take over and pray through you, leading you beyond words into groaning of the spirit (Romans 8:26–27).
When you kneel, you remind your soul that you are not in control—God is.
Your knees teach your mind that your strength is limited, but His strength is boundless.
In private prayer, Prophet T.B. Joshua never stood. Those who observed his prayer life would see him on his knees for hours, walking gently on them before God—his body humbled, his spirit aflame. His prayer posture wasn’t a performance; it was a covenant.
He understood that the Holy Spirit cannot rest where pride stands tall. The Spirit dwells in the heart that kneels.
🌿 Total Dependence Requires Total Humility
To kneel is to say, “Lord, without You, I am nothing.” Total dependence on God requires total humility, and that humility must involve the body, soul, and spirit.
When you kneel, you give up your claim to control. You say with your posture what your words cannot always express:
“Lord, without You, I am nothing.”
Faith without humility leads to pride.
Prayer without humility leads to self-reliance.
But humility—true, heart-deep humility—draws the presence of God closer.
“God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” — James 4:6
🕊️ The Inner Work of Meditation
Kneeling prepares your body for the inner work of the Spirit. It places your flesh under the Lordship of Jesus and quiets the soul so the Holy Spirit can whisper.
Jesus Himself gave us a divine blueprint for intimacy:
“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” — Matthew 6:6
“When your body is on its knees, your spirit rises higher.”
“When your mouth is silent, your heart begins to speak.”
This is where meditation lives—where the Word is turned over and over in your heart and divine revelation flows.
🌿 The Reward of Kneeling
Kneeling may look small in the eyes of the world, but in the spirit realm, it moves mountains.
The greatest victories are won not by those who stand tall, but by those who kneel low.
Heaven responds to the humble posture of the heart.
Get on your knees, close your eyes, and pray—not out of routine but out of reverence.
Let your posture mirror your heart.
Let your body become an altar and your heart the sacrifice.
For when you kneel before God, you rise above every storm.
🙏 A Closing Prayer
Lord, teach me to humble myself before You.
Let my knees find strength in Your presence.
Empty me of pride, fear, and self-dependence.
Fill me with Your Spirit, that I may hear Your voice clearly.
Take more of me and give me more of You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
