The Secret Things Belong to God—But Revelation Belongs to You
🌿 The Secret Things of God: Entering the Realm of Revelation
“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.”
— Deuteronomy 29:29 (NIV)
🔑 The Mystery of Secrets and Revelation
God is infinite, and His wisdom surpasses our understanding. There are things hidden in His heart that man cannot grasp—unless God Himself chooses to reveal them. The “secret things” refer to the deep, hidden truths that cannot be accessed by casual seekers. They are hidden in His heart — and only through genuine relationship and spiritual hunger can these mysteries be unlocked.
These secrets are not given to entertain us — they are revealed to transform us, guide our generations, and establish us in covenant living.
These are “the secret things” that belong only to Him.
But here’s the glorious truth: when God reveals what is hidden, it becomes ours—to live by, to pass on to our children, and to guide our lives in His will.
Prophet T.B. Joshua once said:
“Revelation is not the product of the reasoning faculty; it is the discovery of what God is hiding in His heart.”
🌿 Revelation Comes Through Relationship
Revelation is not something you stumble into—it is something God entrusts to those who are in relationship and fellowship with Him.
- Relationship makes you a child of God.
- Fellowship keeps you close to His heart.
Psalm 25:14 says:
> “The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.”
God whispers His secrets to those who walk in reverence, purity, and love.
🕊️ Revelation Is the Language of Covenant
“What we receive as revelation were secrets in God’s heart.”
“Our relationship and fellowship with God through meditation brings us into a covenant that takes us into the realm where we can know the mind of God.”
Prophet TB Joshua taught that meditation is a visit with God. It’s where we slow down, silence our thoughts, and focus on what God is saying — not just what we are saying to Him.
To meditate is to wait, listen, and dwell.
“Meditate until you receive clear light.” — TB Joshua
The “clear light” he spoke about is God’s response — the revelation, instruction, or peace that enters your spirit when your heart becomes fully tuned to Him.
When God reveals something to you, He’s inviting you into fellowship, intimacy, and obedience. Just as friends confide in each other, God confides in those who fear and obey Him (Psalm 25:14). Revelation is proof of divine trust.
The reason many today do not grow in spiritual understanding is because they stop at religion, routine, and noise — not at revelation.
🔥 Examples of Secrets Revealed
📖 Abraham
Before destroying Sodom, God said:
> “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?” (Genesis 18:17)
Abraham’s intimacy with God positioned him as a trusted friend.
📖 Daniel
When King Nebuchadnezzar sought answers no one else could give, Daniel received divine revelation through prayer and dependence on God.
“He reveals deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him.” (Daniel 2:22)
📖 John the Beloved
John’s deep love and closeness to Jesus prepared him to receive the visions of Revelation. Where others saw suffering, John saw Heaven opened and God’s eternal plan.
🌿 How Do You Access God’s Secrets?
1. Through Meditation
Meditation is not about emptying the mind—but filling it with the Word of God until light breaks forth.
“The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.”
— Psalm 119:130
2. Through Obedience
Revelation comes with responsibility. When we obey, God shows us more.
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me… and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
— John 14:21
3. Through the Holy Spirit
The Spirit reveals the mind of God to the spirit of man.
“The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 2:10–11
🌿 Why Revelation Matters
Revelation keeps you a step ahead of the enemy. You are Preserved— hidden dangers are exposed before you walk into them (Proverbs 22:3).
Revelation brings peace in uncertainty. Daniel 2:22
Revelation gives direction in confusion. You know what to do and when to do it (Psalm 119:105)
Revelation builds faith that cannot be shaken. You grow in authority — revelation is the basis for spiritual confidence (Acts 19:15).
🙏 Final Encouragement
Do you want to know the secrets of God’s heart?
Don’t chase after signs.
Don’t run after prophets.
Run after God Himself.
Intimacy with God will reveal more to you than any external source ever could. His secrets are not for the proud or casual—but for the humble, obedient, and faithful.
“To the degree you reverence God’s Word in your heart, to that same degree His Spirit will release His power through you.”
— Prophet T.B. Joshua
The more you know Him, the more He reveals Himself to you.
🌿 Prayer
Lord, take more of me and give me more of You. Draw me deeper into fellowship with You. Open my heart to receive Your secrets, Your revelations, and Your direction for my life. Let my heart be a place where Your Spirit dwells and speaks. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
