Prayer Changes Us and Faith Changes Things
Prayer Changes Us and Faith Changes Things
John 6:63, Ephesians 4:23, Joshua 14:6–9, Numbers 13: 30–33
Jesus said in John 6:63—“The words I have spoken to you are Spirit and life”—Now as we meditate on God’s Word in prayer or when we read our bible, His Words refreshes our mind to remind us of God’s position about our situation and His Holyspirit will come and renew our strength (Give Life) to face that situation without any fear.
Ephesians 4:23—“Let the Spirit of God renew our thoughts and attitudes”.
Why “thoughts” you may ask?
• Because our thought is the first response we give to any situation that we face.
• Because our thought is the first place we experience weakness when situation comes.
• Because our thought is where we lose or win our battles.
Every battle you see on the outside is first fought and won or lost in the mind. In the book of Numbers 13: 30–33—God punished the Israelites because they allowed the satanic device of fear to overwhelm them which led to doubt and rebellion. Meanwhile among the 12 men sent to spy the enemy territory, only Caleb and Joshua believed God at His word and spoke by faith. Joshua 14:6–9
Child of God, anytime you face challenges, quickly remember the difficulties you faced in the past and how God helped you overcome them. One can be a Christian yet controlled by satanic devices.
What are these satanic devices?
(Fear, Worry, Offence, Anxiety, Doubt, ) —> F–WOAD
To Overcome F—WOAD, The Holyspirit will fill you with faith, perseverance, love, endurance and patience to overcome. F—PLEP
That faith is what changes things while prayer changes (renews) you.
This is what we mean by Prayer changes you because your mind is renewed by the Holyspirit.
