Elitism, intellectualism, and wokeness are subtle weapons used by the devil to trivialize, diminish, de-emphasize, and play down the reality of the supernatural realm to mankind.

Through these tools, Satan blinds many to the unseen, eternal truths that govern this life and the afterlife.

Jesus: The Supreme Authority Over the Supernatural

Jesus Christ is the head of the invisible realm.
📖 Colossians 1:16-17: “For in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.”

💡 This means all spirits, principalities, and powers—both holy and unholy—bow to His majesty.

The Reality of the Supernatural

1️⃣ The Supernatural Exists:

  • The supernatural realm is just as real as the physical world. There is a constant battle between light and darkness, between the kingdom of God and the forces of Satan.

  • 📖 Ephesians 6:12: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

2️⃣ Demons Exist:

  • Demons are fallen angels working under Satan’s command to oppose God and torment mankind.

  • They cause unrighteous men to act against their own will, influencing them toward evil, addictions, hatred, pride, lust, and other ungodly behaviors.

3️⃣ Holy Angels Exist:

  • God’s angels minister to believers, protect, and fight on their behalf in the spiritual realm.

  • 📖 Psalm 91:11: “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Satan’s Strategy Through Intellectualism and Elitism

💭 How Does Satan Use Elitism and Intellectualism?
Many intellectuals, elites, or self-proclaimed “woke” individuals:

  • Dismiss the supernatural realm as a myth or superstition.

  • Hide under the guise of secularism, rationalism, or scientific skepticism.

  • Favor empirical evidence and human reasoning over spiritual truths revealed in the Word of God.

💡 The Result:
They sweep spiritual realities under the carpet, downplaying the existence of God, demons, angels, heaven, hell, and even life after death. By doing so, they discourage mankind from seeking salvation and aligning with God’s kingdom.

The Devil’s Ultimate Goal

Satan’s ultimate aim is to:

  1. Blind mankind to the supernatural truths that reveal God’s power and sovereignty.

    • 📖 2 Corinthians 4:4: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.”

  2. Lead humanity to rely solely on their intellect and abilities, leaving no room for faith.

  3. Encourage rebellion against God under the guise of “freedom of thought” or “progressive thinking.”

  4. Destroy faith in Christ by promoting materialism, secularism, and self-reliance as substitutes for God.

What Can Believers Do?

1️⃣ Acknowledge the Supernatural Realm:

  • Accept the reality of the spiritual battle that surrounds us.

  • Remember that Jesus is Lord over both the visible and invisible realms.

2️⃣ Guard Your Faith:

  • Do not allow secular philosophies, intellectualism, or skepticism to weaken your belief in the power of God.

  • 📖 Colossians 2:8: “See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.”

3️⃣ Stay Rooted in the Word of God:

  • The Word is your spiritual weapon against deception.

  • 📖 Hebrews 4:12: “For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

4️⃣ Pray and Stay Spiritually Alert:

  • Prayer keeps you connected to God and sensitive to His leading.

  • Stay vigilant against Satan’s schemes.

  • 📖 1 Peter 5:8: “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

5️⃣ Speak the Truth Boldly:

  • Share the gospel and expose Satan’s lies with confidence, even in the face of intellectual or cultural opposition.

Final Reminder:

The supernatural realm is not a myth or a relic of ancient belief systems. It is real, active, and directly impacts our lives. Jesus Christ, the head of all principalities and powers, is our hope and victory. Do not let elitism, intellectualism, or wokeness rob you of this truth.

🙏 Lord Jesus, open my eyes to the realities of the spiritual realm. Give me the grace to overcome deception and to trust fully in Your Word. Protect me from the schemes of the enemy, and help me to live as a light in this dark world. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
