Proverbs 4:23:

The word responsibility can be broken down into “response-ability”—the ability to respond in a way that aligns with your values and principles.

Your Behavior Is a Choice:
Your response to situations should not be dictated by feelings, emotions, or what others do to you. Instead, it should be guided by faith and values rooted in God’s Word.Faith Follows Process:
Faith is not based on feelings but on obedience to God’s principles. Responding with faith means trusting God’s process, even when it’s uncomfortable.Your Focus Shapes Your Response:
You are responsible for what you give your attention to. If you focus on God’s Word and promises, your response will reflect His character.
Examples From the Bible
1. Jesus’ Response to Accusations
When Jesus was falsely accused, He did not defend Himself or respond to His accusers. Instead, He entrusted Himself to God.
1 Peter 2:23:
“When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.”
2. Prophet T.B. Joshua’s Example
T.B. Joshua followed the example of Christ by never responding to his accusers. He focused on expanding his mission for God rather than giving attention to accusations.
This principle brought him immense peace and success because he left the matter in God’s hands.
3. David’s Response to Saul
Despite Saul trying to kill him, David refused to retaliate, even when he had the opportunity.
1 Samuel 24:12:
“May the Lord judge between you and me, and may the Lord avenge the wrongs you have done to me, but my hand will not touch you.”
How Should Christians Respond to Uncomfortable Situations?
1. Respond With Love, Not Revenge
Jesus taught us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
Matthew 5:44:
“But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.”

You don’t need to defend yourself; let God handle it.
