The Violent Take It by Force: Waging War for God’s Kingdom
🔥 “The Violent Take It by Force”: Waging War for God’s Kingdom on Earth
“From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” — Matthew 11:12
1️⃣ The Kingdom of Heaven Suffers Violence
Beloved, when Jesus spoke of the Kingdom of Heaven suffering violence, He was revealing a mystery and a spiritual reality—one that still explains the invisible battles shaking our world today. The kingdom of heaven suffers violence when demonic forces wage war against God’s plan on earth.
Demons, marine spirits, unclean spirits, spiritual husbands and wives—these aren’t religious metaphors. They are real spiritual forces in rebellion against God’s kingdom. Every time a person is bound by addiction, disease, sin, or confusion, these spirits are resisting God’s plan and hijacking destinies.
“Our Father who art in heaven… Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:9–10
Demons hate this prayer because it is a declaration of God’s authority invading the earth. Their mission is simple — to stop the will of God from being done in the lives of men.
Satan’s purpose is to resist God’s will on earth.
When demons, spiritual husbands, marine spirits, or unclean powers possess men and women created by God and drive them to sin — lust, anger, envy, addiction, pride, hatred, sickness, or self-destruction — they are attacking the kingdom of God.
His method? Destroy men and women through lust, anger, pride, fear, addiction, and self-destruction. He blinds minds to the truth, keeping them from their divine identity.
“If the Good News we preach is hidden, it is hidden only from those who are perishing. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.” — 2 Corinthians 4:3–4
They distract you.
They tempt you.
They make you too tired to pray, too busy to meditate, too cold to forgive.
Prophet T.B. Joshua explained it clearly:
“There are powers that cause men to be bowed down in bondage and do things opposed to their will. These demons cause men to lose control and commit all kinds of shameful acts.”
These powers enslave minds and capture destinies. They know that once you are disconnected from the Word of God, you are disconnected from the presence of God — and an empty heart is the devil’s playground.
This battle is not fictional. Many people fight unseen enemies attacking their purity, peace, faith, and future. These invisible powers wage war to stop God’s kingdom from being established in your life.
2️⃣ The Violent Take It by Force
Now what does Jesus mean when He says “the violent take it by force”?
When Jesus said “the violent take it by force”, He wasn’t encouraging physical violence—He was awakening believers to spiritual aggression, a holy determination to take back what Satan has stolen.
Deliverance is not passive. Darkness doesn’t back down to casual prayers. Demons flee before authority and spiritual fire. That’s why during deliverance, we don’t whisper—we declare with boldness:
“Out in the name of Jesus!”
“I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18
You are that Church. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). But the devil wants to desecrate that temple through sin, bitterness, and offence which grieve the Spirit and invite demonic infiltration. That’s why spiritual warfare is necessary—to drive out darkness and keep your temple pure.
During deliverance, we don’t whisper to demons; we command them.
We speak with authority, not with fear.
Why? Because demons only respect power — the power that flows from a believer filled with the Spirit of God.
Prophet T.B. Joshua often said:
“A break in faith is a break in prayer, and a break in prayer is a break with God.”
If your faith is weak, your authority is weakened. But when faith is alive, your voice carries fire.
The violent faith is the kind that does not negotiate with darkness but drives it out with power.
To take it by force means to:
- Pray with fire, holy violence and determination.
- Stand on God’s Word, not on your emotions.
- Refuse to accept defeat or delay in your purpose.
- Wage war through fasting, worship, and faith as your weapons.
- Keep your life pure so God can dwell within you.
You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. Christ already conquered the devil. Now, your task is to enforce that victory by faith.
“In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” — John 16:33
You are not striving for victory—you are enforcing a victory that Christ already won!
In the Part two of this message. We will look at “How to overcome the powers that resist you”
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Open my eyes to the reality of this spiritual battle.
Fill me with holy fire and unshakable faith.
Every power resisting Your will in my life—be broken in Jesus’ name!
Let Your kingdom come, and let Your will be done through me.
Amen.
