Figure 1: Ways God Speaks to Us Daily - SpiritWorshipGen

🌿 “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” — Psalm 119:105

Does God still speak today?

This question haunts the heart of many believers. Some rely solely on their pastors to hear from God. Others doubt their own discernment, questioning whether the voice they hear is divine or just their thoughts. Still others believe, but aren’t sure how to recognize when God is speaking.

The truth is: God speaks daily. The issue is not with His voice, but with our hearing.

One of the greatest privileges of being a child of God is that we serve a God who speaks. He is not silent. He is not distant. Every day, He is reaching out to you—guiding, convicting, and instructing—if only you would listen.

“The Word dominating you is the Lordship of Christ in you.” — Prophet T.B. Joshua

The question is not “Does God still speak?” The real question is: “Are you tuned in to hear Him?”

Let us explore the sacred ways God still speaks—and how you can tune your heart to hear Him clearly, confidently, and consistently.

1️⃣ God Speaks Through His Word

📖 Psalm 119:105 – “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”

The Bible is not a book of the past—it is the Voice of God in the present. Every page, every verse, every story is a divine utterance wrapped in written form. Every time you open it with a free and humble heart, God is speaking directly to you.

“The Word of God is God talking to you.” — Prophet TB Joshua

When you open your Bible with humility and hunger, Heaven opens with direction and clarity. His Word doesn’t just inform—it transforms. It doesn’t just instruct—it equips.

Benefits of His Word:

- Reveals God’s character and intentions. You know God’s opinion of yourself and others.
- It keeps you from error and sin (Psalm 119:9)
- It Rejoices the heart (Psalm 19:8)
- It is Enduring (Isaiah 40:8) - It is Profitable (2 Tim 3:16-17)
- It has Healing power (Proverbs 4:20-22) - It has Converting Power (Psalm 19:7)
- It has Purifying power (John 15:3) - It is Your Spiritual Weapon (Ephesians 6:17) - It is a Guide for Your Feet (Psalm 119:105)
- It is Food for Your Soul (Matt 4:4)
- Confirms His will

If you want to hear God daily, you must feed your spirit with His Word. When His Word dominates your heart, it will dominate your mouth. And when it dominates your mouth, it will influence your conduct and character.

“The Word of God is the most effective instrument for change.” — Prophet TB Joshua

Fail to read the Word, and your spirit grows weak. Feed on it, and your faith becomes fire.

2️⃣ God Speaks Through His Spirit

📖 John 16:13 – “When the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth.”

Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide us into all truth. The Spirit whispers direction, prompts your conscience, and reminds you of God’s Word in critical moments.

The Holy Spirit is your internal compass. He’s not just your Comforter—He’s your Communicator. He brings God’s direction and opinions to your heart, leading you step by step.

You’ve heard Him before: - That gentle nudge to forgive
- That prompting to pray suddenly
- That warning not to go forward
- That peace about a decision

But remember: The Holy Spirit only dwells in a heart that is free—free from bitterness, offense, and the noise of the world. A noisy heart cannot discern His still, small voice.

3️⃣ God Speaks Through Dreams and Visions

📖 Acts 2:17 – “In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.”

Dreams are one of God’s languages. Throughout Scripture, He used dreams to warn, prepare, guide, and reveal. From Joseph in Egypt to Daniel in Babylon to Peter on a rooftop—He still speaks in dreams.

Not every dream is from God—but when it is, it lives in your spirit, not just your memory.

“When God wants to prepare you for something, He first speaks to your spirit—even while you sleep.”

How do you discern divine dreams? - Do they align with Scripture?
- Do they bring conviction or clarity?
- Do they repeat with purpose?
- Do they bear spiritual fruit?

This is why meditation in the Word and prayer are key—they sharpen your spiritual senses.

4️⃣ God Speaks Through Conviction and Peace

📖 Colossians 3:15 – “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.”

The heart of a believer is the communication point of the Holy Spirit. He speaks through conviction when you are wrong, and He confirms through peace when you are right.

Paul said:

“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.” — Colossians 3:15

That means if there is no peace, don’t go ahead. If your conscience is troubled, stop and seek God’s face. Conviction is God’s mercy pulling you back to His path. Peace is His confirmation that you are walking in His will.

Once again, Your heart is the altar where the Holy Spirit speaks. Conviction is God’s warning system; peace is His green light.

If you feel no peace, don’t proceed. If your conscience is troubled, pause and pray.
Conviction isn’t punishment—it’s mercy.
Peace isn’t a feeling—it’s confirmation.

“Your heart is the contact point of the Holy Ghost.” — Prophet TB Joshua

⚔️ Spirit vs. Flesh — The Battle for Your Attention

You can’t hear God clearly if your flesh is louder than your spirit.

  • The flesh feeds on fear, lust, pride, and gossip.
  • The spirit feeds on prayer, obedience, and the Word.

📖 Galatians 5:16 – “Walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.”

Every day you must decide: Who will I feed—my spirit or my flesh?

🌿 Final Word: The God Who Speaks Is Waiting

A man who hears from God is never confused.

“Lord, take more of me and give me more of You. Help me to treasure Your Word, yield to Your Spirit, discern Your visions, and follow Your peace. Speak, Lord—your servant is listening. Amen.”
