🔥 The Three Daily Habits of a True Christian: A Lifestyle of Fire and Fellowship

“But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed.”Luke 5:16

There is no such thing as a powerful Christian who is prayerless.
There is no such thing as a growing Christian who does not hear God.
And there is no such thing as a fruitful Christian who keeps silent about Jesus.

Prophet TB Joshua taught:
> “Christianity is not a religion—it is a relationship with God, through His Word, by His Spirit.”

There are many habits in life—some useful, some destructive. But for a true Christian, there are three habits you cannot live without if you want to grow, endure, and bear fruit in your walk with God:

1️⃣ Talk to God daily.
2️⃣ Hear from God daily.
3️⃣ Speak to others about God daily.

Every believer who desires to walk in the power and purity of the Holy Spirit must cultivate these three unshakable daily habits

Let’s break them down.

🕊️ 1. Talk to God DailyThe Habit of Prayer

Prayer is the breathing of your soul. Just as your body cannot live without oxygen, your spirit cannot live without prayer. It is the life-line of the believer.
It is through prayer that we talk to God, pour out our hearts, confess our weaknesses, and receive divine strength.

Jesus Himself—though the Son of God—prayed every day.
He prayed:

  • In the morning — Mark 1:35
  • Before major decisions — Luke 6:12
  • During trials — Luke 22:41
  • On the cross — Luke 23:34

“A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian.”Prophet TB Joshua

Daily Prayer Develops:

  • Intimacy with the Father
  • Sensitivity to the Spirit
  • Victory over the flesh and temptation

📖 “Pray without ceasing.”1 Thessalonians 5:17

Reflection:
Have I spoken to God today, or have I only spoken to people?

When you rise in the morning, your first words should be:
“Thank You, Lord, for the gift of life. Take more of me and give me more of You.”

When you walk, when you work, when you sit—keep a heart of prayer. Constantly whisper:
“In the name of Jesus… Lord, have mercy… Take more of me.”

This is how you stay connected to the throne of grace.

📖 2. Hear from God DailyThe Habit of the Word

God speaks every day—but many do not hear Him because they are not tuned in.

Hearing God daily begins by reading His Word.
It is impossible to walk in revelation without the foundation of Scripture.

“If you want to hear God’s voice clearly, spend more time in His Word than in your worries.”

If prayer is your talking to God, His Word is God’s talking to you.

“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” — Romans 10:17

Many Christians pray, but they do not wait to hear what God has to say. Yet, no relationship can survive if one party is always speaking but never listening.

David said:

“My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘LORD, I am coming.’” — Psalm 27:8

The Word of God in your heart is the voice of God to your life.

Jesus said:

📖 “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”Matthew 4:4

Ways God Speaks to Us Daily:

  • Through His WordPsalm 119:105
  • Through His SpiritJohn 16:13
  • Through dreams and visionsActs 2:17
  • Through conviction and peace in our hearts — Colossians 3:15

If you don’t feed your spirit, your flesh will rule your day.
The Bible is not just a book—it is God’s voice in written form.

🕯️ 3. Speak About God DailyThe Habit of Witnessing

Christianity is not meant to be hidden. A true believer overflows. If you are truly filled with Christ. He must overflow.

“We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.” — Acts 4:20

This does not mean standing on the street corner with a microphone. Sometimes, it means sharing a testimony. Sometimes, it means encouraging a colleague. Sometimes, it means quietly forgiving someone who hurt you—and when they ask why, you point to Jesus.

Prophet T.B. Joshua often said:

“We preach with our life, not only with our lips.”

Your life is the loudest sermon. Let your conduct, words, and kindness reflect Christ. Speak to others about God—because one soul may be saved simply because you obeyed.

You cannot carry fire and remain silent.
You cannot carry light and go unnoticed.
You cannot carry the Gospel and not speak.

“When you are truly saved, you want others to be saved.”

Jesus didn’t save us to sit down and stay quiet. He commissioned us:

📖 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”Mark 16:15

Whether at work, school, online, or in private conversations—share Jesus. Use your social media and any platform available to you to preach salvation of souls.

Daily Witnessing:

  • Encourages your faith
  • Testifies to others
  • Shames the devil

Even a simple sentence like, “Jesus loves you and can change your life”, can open the door for someone’s eternal salvation.

🔥 Final Takeaway: Build a Lifestyle, Not a Moment

These three habits are not Sunday routines—they are daily disciplines that shape eternal destinies.

  • Talk to God daily → Prayer
  • Hear from God daily → Word & Revelation
  • Speak about God daily → Witnessing

“Great spiritual power is born from great spiritual discipline.”

Reflect:

Are you building a daily habit of intimacy with God?
What is shaping your day—His Word or the world’s noise?

🙏 Prayer

Lord Jesus,
Make me a true Christian—not just by name, but by practice.
Help me to speak with You daily in prayer, to hear You daily through Your Word, and to speak about You daily in love.
Let my life reflect the light of Christ every day.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
