God’s One is Two: The Multiplicity of His Nature and Ours
🌿 Is Your Life Reflecting God’s Multiplying Nature?
This revelation came during my morning prayerwalk, 2 weeks ago, it was too deep for me so I took my time before sharing it.
> “God’s one is always two—or more. He doesn’t operate in isolation. He is a God of fullness, of balance, of divine partnership.”
“Then God said, ‘Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness…’” — Genesis 1:26
From the very beginning, God revealed Himself as a God of multiplicity—one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. His oneness is expressed in twos and threes, in balance and harmony. And because we are created in His image, this divine pattern is stamped upon our very existence.
> God sees in multiples. He thinks in wholes, in relationships, in connected dimensions—never in isolation.
🌿 God in Multiples
1. Trinity
God is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). Three persons—yet perfectly one.
2. His Creation
He creates in complementary pairs:
- Heaven and earth (Genesis 1:1)
- Day and night (Genesis 1:5)
- Male and female (Genesis 1:27)
He designs life in complementary pairs, revealing His completeness in balance.
3. His Operation
God operates in a two-way relationship: send and receive.
- We pray, and God listens (Philippians 4:6).
- God speaks, and we listen (Psalm 85:8).
Prophet TB Joshua once said:
“When you pray, let your heart listen as much as your lips speak, because prayer is a relationship—two hearts talking.”
🌿 God’s Balance in Action
“Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness…” — Genesis 1:26
This was not a solitary declaration. It reveals the Trinity in action—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit working as One. He is One God in Three Persons, reflecting His perfect harmony and balance.
“God’s being is structured in unity. He is three in one so that we may learn to live in harmony with others and with ourselves.” — Prophet T.B. Joshua
Balance is not contradiction—it is completeness.
- He gives rain and sunshine (Matthew 5:45)
- He gives and takes away (Job 1:21)
- He is just, yet merciful (Psalm 89:14)
God is not one-sided. His justice is never cruel; His mercy is never weak. Both exist in perfect balance.
🌿 Humanity in Multiples
We are also created in multiplicity: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).
- Spirit → The dwelling place of God within us.
- Soul → the seat of your will, emotions, and intellect.
- Body → the vessel through which your spirit and soul function on earth
Prophet TB Joshua explained:
“You are a spirit, living in a physical body learning to live in a natural world”
This means God did not make you to live one-dimensionally. He expects you to engage with Him and the world in spirit, soul, and body—each part aligned under His will.
Neglecting any part of this triune nature leads to imbalance. If the spirit is ignored, the body will dominate—and the results are frustration, anxiety, and defeat.
🌿 You Also Have Two Natures: The Human and Divine Nature in Us
“By these He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature…” — 2 Peter 1:4
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life…” — 2 Peter 1:3–4
Through Christ, we carry two natures:
- The human nature—fallen and fleshly.
- The divine nature—spirit-empowered and Christ-centered.
As a believer, you are not just human anymore. You have the Spirit of God dwelling within you (Romans 8:11). This means you have divine capacity to overcome sin, to walk in love, and to hear from God.
But if you only operate in your human nature—working, striving, stressing—you’re living beneath your spiritual identity.
“We are made in God’s image—not in body or face but in spirit. Our heart is His dwelling place.” — Prophet T.B. Joshua
The battle of life is deciding which nature will dominate.
Adam and Eve allowed their human nature to dominate, and fell.
Joseph allowed his divine nature to rule, and overcame temptation (Genesis 39:9)
Jesus carried both human and divine nature, yet chose obedience to the Father—even unto death (Philippians 2:6–8).
💍 Divine Partnership: God Never Leaves You Alone
“It is not good for the man to be alone…” — Genesis 2:18
From the beginning, God designed humans for relationship, not isolation. Whether it’s marriage, friendship, or divine companionship, God gives help to those walking in His will.
If you are single for God, remember this:
You are spiritually married to the Lord. He fills your life with meaning, purpose, and divine companionship.
“God expects us to be in union with Him—spirit to Spirit, heart to heart, thought to thought.” — Prophet T.B. Joshua
🌿 Living in God’s Multiplicity
God is everywhere at once, fully balanced and never overwhelmed. He calls us to reflect His nature.
- Don’t just pray with your lips—meditate with your heart.
- Don’t only work with your hands—labor in your spirit.
- Don’t only nurture your body or focus on your physical needs—also nurture your spiritual life.
Prophet TB Joshua warned:
“If you say you are too busy for God, then you are busier than your Creator. Who then is sustaining your breath?”
To be like God is to live in balance:
- Spirit and body
- Prayer and action
- Giving and forgiving
- Silence and speech
- Faith and works
🌿 Final Reflection
God’s “one is two.” He reveals oneness through divine duality. You, created in His image, are called to reflect that harmony.
If all your energy is going into one part of life—work, family, ministry, ambition—and you are too busy to be like God, something is off-balance.
“You say you are busy, but God is always present. He is here and there at the same time. He is never too busy to guide, to protect, or to listen.” — Prophet T.B. Joshua
Ask yourself:
Am I cultivating my spirit?
Is my soul (emotions/thoughts) under God’s control?
Is my body being used as a temple or a vessel for self?
Am I living too one-sided?
Am I only feeding my body and starving my spirit?
Am I only receiving but rarely giving?
Am I speaking to God but never listening?
Let God’s divine nature shape you into wholeness.
🔚 Finally People of God: Reflect God’s Multiplying Nature
God never intended for you to live one-sided.
He wants to see love and truth, mercy and justice, spirituality and discipline expressed in your life.
Be like God: Be whole. Be balanced. Be fruitful.
🙏 Prayer
“Lord, take more of me and give me more of You. Balance my life in Your nature. Let my spirit rule over my flesh. Teach me to pray and to listen, to work and to rest, to live in justice and mercy, as You are. Amen.”
