🌿 What If God’s Instruction Doesn’t Make Sense?

“We live by faith, not by sight.” — 2 Corinthians 5:7

Sometimes, God will ask you to do things that contradict human logic, personal feelings, or social expectations. His instructions may not make sense—but they make miracles.

God is not bound by human reasoning. He is not limited by what makes sense to you. He sees the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). He doesn’t need to explain His reasons—He needs your obedience.

🧠 When Obedience Defies Logic

Obedience is the bridge between instruction and manifestation. God doesn’t always tell us why, but He always shows us what happens when we trust Him.

Obedience isn’t always logical but it’s always powerful.

🌱 Examples of Divine Instructions That Don’t Make Sense

Here are ten instructions God may give you—each one may challenge your reasoning but calls you into a higher realm of trust and surrender:

1. Forgive someone who never apologized.

“Forgive, and you will be forgiven.” — Luke 6:37
Obedience isn’t about their repentance—it’s about your freedom and eternal life.

2. Give what you cherish when you are in need.

“There is one who scatters, yet increases more.” — Proverbs 11:24
God sometimes asks for what you value most to release what you need most.

3. Stay silent when you want to speak.

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14
God’s silence is louder than your self-defense.

TB Joshua is my favourite example of how God fights for a man even when he is not physically here. He will fight for you and I too.

4. Speak when you want to stay silent.

“Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” — Psalm 81:10
Your obedience in speaking could be someone’s salvation.

I sometimes write even when it is inconvenient for me but God doesn’t work with my schedule.

5. Leave when you feel attached.

“Go from your country… to the land I will show you.” — Genesis 12:1
Abraham obeyed, and history changed forever.

Some of you are still where God left, it is time to move forward. Take that bold step into your destiny.

6. Walk around walls instead of tearing them down.

“March around the city once… for six days.” — Joshua 6:3
Obedience turned a march into a miracle.

Your actions may not make sense to your enemies but it moves God, soon they will sit at the table God is preparing for you.

7. Strike a rock instead of digging a well.

“Strike the rock, and water will come out of it.” — Exodus 17:6
Sometimes the provision comes from where you least expect it.

Are you tired of that business and you want to give up? don’t quit, keep striking the rock, water will soon gush out.

8. Anoint a shepherd boy to be king.

“Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” — 1 Samuel 16:7
God sees destiny where men see disqualification.

Don’t worry, if men disqualify you today like they disqualified TB Joshua, keep trusting God then watch and see your glory rise.

9. Feed others when you barely have enough.

“Make me a small cake from it first.” — 1 Kings 17:13
Elijah’s request looked selfish—until the miracle came.

God will test you from that little you have. Don’t wait for a more convenient time to give the little left to the one who needs it more.

10. Launch your net again after a night of failure.

“Let down the nets for a catch.” — Luke 5:4
One word from Jesus can turn your worst season into a breakthrough.

11. Go wash yourself seven times in the Jordan and you will be cleansed

“Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.” — 2 Kings 5:10
A wealthy general was asked to wash himself in a dirty pool but He received mother of miracles.

Have you been told not to go to synagogue? Don’t listen to the devil, GO THERE NOW and you will receive mother of miracles.

🛡️ Obedience Is Your Protection

“He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:3

Obedience is not always convenient. It’s not always comfortable. It often comes with internal conflict—but it always leads to spiritual safety.

🧭 Every step of obedience is a step deeper into God’s protection and provision.

🙏 Final Reflection

  • What has God asked you to do that doesn’t make sense?
  • What instruction have you delayed because it seems illogical?
  • What blessing have you missed because obedience felt too costly?

Beloved, obey—even when you don’t understand.

Obedience is trust in action.
Obedience is the proof of your surrender.
Obedience may not always make sense,
But it always brings glory.

🛐 Prayer

“Lord, give me the grace to obey even when I don’t understand.
Help me walk by faith and not by sight.
When Your instruction challenges my logic, remind me that You are wiser than man.
Let my obedience be worship, and my surrender be total.
In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
