Figure 1: Faith Shines Brightest In The Furnace of Adversity - SpiritWorshipGen

No Faith, No Connection: Faith Is Our Lifeline to God!

Key Scriptures:

  • Hebrews 11:6

  • Daniel 6:10

  • Ephesians 6:10-12

  • 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Faith is not optional for the Christian—it is the breath we breathe.
A life without faith is a life disconnected from the living God.

Hebrews 11:6 reminds us:
“Without faith, it is impossible to please God…”
Faith is the foundation of our relationship with Him, not a mere bonus for difficult times.

The quality of our faith isn’t measured when life feels easy; it shines brightest in the furnace of adversity.

True Faith Is Proven in Hardship

Daniel didn’t start praying when trouble came; he continued his daily devotion even when it meant facing death (Daniel 6:10).

He understood:

  • No situation is strong enough to break the faith of a heart rooted in Christ.
  • No hardship is hard enough to break the spirit of a person in constant communion with God.

Jesus is our supreme example.
Whether He was praised with palm branches or beaten with whips, His focus remained on the Father.
Even in betrayal, crucifixion, and death, He stayed faithful—and His unbroken devotion is the reason we are Christians today.

Troubles Train Our Consistency

Troubles are tutors.
They teach persistence and endurance.

Just as gold is tested in fire, your faith must be tested—in humiliation, hardship, and persecution.
Romans 8:37 assures us:
“In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

You Are in a Spiritual Battle

Ephesians 6:12 warns us:
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers…”

Life is not a playground; it is a battlefield.
Your weaknesses are satan’s points of attack.
Thus, you must:

  • Be strong for service
  • Be strong for fighting
  • Be strong for suffering

How to Be Strong in the Lord

🌿 1. Decide Your Direction

When you choose your direction—God will give you energy for the distance.

  • Decide to pray consistently.
  • Decide to worship no matter the situation.
  • Decide to hold fast to God’s Word.

When you make a firm decision, heaven backs you up with strength.

🌿 2. Develop Daily Habits

Your habits determine your future.

If you want a life of success and stability:

  • Change something you do daily.
  • Build prayer, meditation, worship, and Bible reading into your everyday life.
  • Go for Prayerwalks
  • As Instructed by the Holy Spirit—Set aside a dedicated day in a week for fasting and communion with God—mine is every Wednesday and I break anytime between 6 and 8pm. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 urges us:
“Pray without ceasing.”

The greatest habit you can ever develop is an attitude of prayer.

🌿 3. Be Stubborn in Prayer

A break in prayer is a break in faith—and a break in faith is a break with Jesus.

  • If satan cannot stop your prayers, he cannot stop your progress.
  • If he can distract you, delay you, and discourage you from prayer, your spiritual fortress is compromised.

Jesus stayed in constant communion with the Father—and so must we.

Prayer for New Habits

Lord Jesus,
Enter my life and put an end to my bad habits (mention them specifically).
Loose their grip upon my soul.
Manifest Your strength in my weakness.
Teach me and guide me to develop great habits that lead to lasting success.
Make me consistent, focused, and strong for the journey You have ordained for me.
In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen.

Final Word

Remember:

“When Jesus enters your life, He puts an end to your past and births new habits that lead to true success.”
