Why not ask God for Vision Instead?
My People Perish for Lack of Vision
Genesis 21:15–19, Psalm 34:17
“15.When the water was gone, she put the boy in the shade of a bush. Then she went and sat down by herself about a hundred yards away. I don’t want to watch the boy die. 17.But God heard the boy crying and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven”Hagar, what’s wrong? Do not be afraid God has heard the boy crying as he lies there”. 19 Then God opened Hagar’s eyes and she saw a well full of water.
Lesson 1: God needs our desperate faith, not our cries of desperation.
Hagar, like many of us, had given up hope when her supplies ran out. She expressed her fear instead of faith in the supplier of her needs. She cried, but God did not hear her cry. God needs our desperate faith, not our cries of desperation.
Lesson 2: God hears the cry of the righteous.
God heard the little child’s cry because he was innocent; he knew no sin, like the mother. Psalm 34:17—“When the righteous cry (in faith) for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.” Only faith pleases God.
Lesson 3: A lack of vision is why many are poor.
Hagar was crying for water, not knowing there was a well close by. There are hidden treasures all around you that you may never see because of your fear, anxiety, and worry. “You must be ready to lose sight of the shore to discover new oceans”—T.B. Joshua
Prayer
Lord Jesus hear my cry of faith and open my eyes to see your hidden treasures surrounding me in Jesus name. Amen
