The Holy Spirit in the Lives of God’s Generals

The Holy Spirit does as He wills, yet we can identify great men and women of God by their consistency in teaching, their humility, their faith, and their lifestyle of righteousness in Christ.
Today, we reflect on the habits of Prophet T.B. Joshua, which align with the lives of biblical figures such as Daniel, Apostle Paul, and others. These examples remind us that God’s character is reflected through His faithful servants across generations.
ON HUMILITY
God’s Generals depend on God and never share His glory.
Prophet T.B. Joshua says:
“I am not the Healer, but I know the Healer. His name is Jesus Christ.”
Similarly, in Daniel 2:30, Daniel declared:
“It’s not because I’m wiser than anyone else that I know the secret of your dream, but I know the revealer of all secrets.”
Key Lesson: True servants of God remain humble, always giving glory to God, not to themselves.
ON GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS
They boast only in God’s righteousness and ability.
T.B. Joshua says:
“I’m your brother. If there’s anything I’m doing that you cannot do, it’s because of the righteousness of God in me.”
Similarly, Apostle Paul said in Philippians 4:13:
“For I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength.”
Key Lesson: God’s servants know that all they accomplish is through His righteousness, not their own.
ON FAITH
They live a life of faith, bringing God’s promises into reality.
T.B. Joshua says:
“Faith is expecting God to do what He promised to do.”
Similarly, Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews 11:1:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

ON BELIEF IN THE HEART AND MOUTH CONFESSION

“If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us. But even if He does not, we will never serve your gods…”

“As a child of God, in our spiritual walk with God, there will be both good and hard times alike. It is for the glory of God.”
Wiseman Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 7:14:
“Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God.”

ON MEDITATION AND CONSTANCY OF PRAYER

“Meditation is a visit to God. A break in faith is a break with God. A break in prayer is a break in faith. Constantly pray in your heart without ceasing in hymns, psalms, spiritual songs, and make melodies in your heart.”
Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:18 says:
“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.”
